AMENPER: Corrección a
una Chapucería
Ayer hube de pasarles una versión de la Declaración de Sharon bastante
chapucera que hube de traducir con el traductor de la computadora, la cual al
mirarla hoy veo que no se puede de apreciar bien la esencia del
contenido.
Para mí esta declaración de unos jóvenes conservadores en el año 1960, fue
importante entonces en mi juventud, y lo es también hoy, en mi vejez.
Por eso se las vuelvo a pasar, ahora en su versión original en inglés, y
hoy me he tomado el tiempo de traducirla personalmente al español para poder
expresar bien el pensamiento del documento.
La Declaración de Sharon es importante para los pocos conservadores que
existíamos en aquella época en Cuba, donde desde los cuarenta y en nuestros
cincuenta, el socialismo era la doctrina de los “inteligentes” y el
conservadurismo era la doctrina de los estúpidos analfabetos políticos.
Los que escribieron la Declaración de Sharon en 1960 fueron un grupo de
conservadores jóvenes norteamericanos que vieron venir la revolución socialista
que comenzaba en los 60 y los 70 en Estados Unidos, y que ha culminado a los
que tenemos hoy en día con el paréntisis de ocho años de Regan.
Quisieran que leyeran la Declaración de Sharon, y pensaran en cómo era la
parodia de la democracia y la economía de mercado en aquella Cuba que desembocó
en el comunismo, y me digan si en Cuba entonces se cumplían los principios
filosóficos del conservadurismo.
En Cuba los 30 y los 40 fueron lo que fueron los 60 y los 70 de aquí.
Teníamos una caricatura de la economía de mercado, copia de la de la
revolución mejicana, como hija de la revolución mejicana fue la Constitución
del cuarenta.
Si leen la declaración de Sharon detenidamente pueden ver como Cuba antes
no era realmente, no sólo una democracia representativa ni una economía de
mercado, pero estaba profundamente influenciada por el socialismo.
La libertad está unida a la economía, así empieza la Declaración de
Sharon.
En Cuba el empresario luchaba para mantener la economía de mercado en
contra del pensamiento socialista que prevalecía.
A nombre de algo que llamaban “El agio y la especulación” se establecían
controles de precios. “Los precios fijos” era algo bueno, hasta
había una tienda que los anunciaba.
El libre albedrío de precio que es la base de la economía de mercado, donde
el usuario se aprovecha de la competencia con sus “especiales” para atraer los
clientes, sólo ocurría cuando el comerciante ilegalmente violaba la ley del
control de precio.
Los llamados logros, hijos del socialismo mejicano, como el cierre
obligatorio, la jornada de verano etc, eran medidas coartivas a la libertad del
empresario de abrir y cerrar sus establecimientos de acuerdo con su discreción,
era una limitación a sus derechos como propietario de su propio negocio.
Las leyes eran tan estrictas que no se podían cumplir, porque estaban
diseñadas como en Méjico para que no se cumplieran sino que fueran violadas
pagando a los que nos gobernaran para que nos permitieran
violarlas. Cómo en Méjico, desde el Presidente pasando por los
ministros, hasta el más inferior de los burócratas e inspectores trabajaban por
soborno. La corrupción estaba institucionalizada.
Los sindicatos eran la CTC comunista de Lázaro Peña o la CTC oficial de
Eusebio Mujal, un comunista reciclado de ideas socialistas. El objetivo de los
sindicatos, no era el reclamar ,legítimamente los derechos de los trabajadores
ante la empresa, el empresario era un enemigo al que había que
destruir. nunca podía tener la razón nunca tenía el derecho antes el
sindicado.
Destruir al empresario era el propósito y el fin del sindicalismo en
Cuba. La única defensa del empresario era pagar con un soborno
económico al lider sindical o al oficial del gobierno para poder
subsistir.
La revolución Castrista no fue una revolución, fue una evolución, la fruta
madura que cayó de la mata en 1959, que se estaba madurando en los
cuarenta y cincuenta.
La transición al comunismo no sucedió antes por la danza económica de la
post-guerra y el diferencial azucarero que permitía una economía saludable a
pesar del sistema político-económico de una parodia de la democracia y la
economía de mercado.
Abajo lean la Declaración de Sharon, y razonen si lo que teníamos en Cuba
en la época anterior a que se completara la socialización que empezó en los
cuarenta, era, como les digo, todo lo contrario a la filosofía
conservadora.
No creo que en lo que creíamos los conservadores era lo que teníamos en
Cuba en los años cincuenta ni lo es lo que estamos viendo en esta nación hoy en
día bajo esta administración.

En esta época de crisis morales y políticas, es la responsabilidad de la
juventud de América el afirmar ciertas verdades eternas.
Nosotros, como jóvenes conservadores, creemos:
Que entre los valores trascendentes es el uso del individuo de su divina
libre voluntad, de dónde se deriva su derecho a ser libre de las restricciones
de la fuerzas arbitrarias;
Que la libertad es indivisible, y esa
libertad política durante mucho tiempo no puede existir sin la libertad
económica;
Que el propósito del gobierno es proteger las libertades a través de la
preservación del orden interno, la disposición de la defensa nacional y la
administración de la justicia;
Que el gobierno que se aventura más allá
de estas funciones que le corresponde, acumula un poder, que tiende
a disminuir el orden y la libertad;
Que la Constitución de los Estados Unidos es el mejor arreglo ideado
para empoderar al gobierno a cumplir con su papel, mientras que se
le prohíbe la concentración y el abuso de poder;
Que el genio de la Constitución, la división de poderes — se resume en la
cláusula de reserva primaria a los Estados o a las personas, en esas esferas,
y no son específicamente delegadas al Gobierno Federal o Central;
La economía de mercado, la asignación de
recursos por el libre juego de oferta y demanda, es el único sistema económico
compatible con las exigencias de libertad personal y un gobierno
constitucional y que es al mismo tiempo el proveedor más productivo de las
necesidades humanas;
Que cuando el gobierno interfiere con el
trabajo de la economía de mercado, tiende a reducir la resistencia física y
moral de la nación;
Que cuando se toma de un hombre
para regalar a otro, disminuye el incentivo de los primeros, la integridad de
los segundos y la autonomía moral de ambos;
Que seremos libres sólo mientras la soberanía nacional de los Estados
Unidos es segura; que la historia muestra, que los períodos de libertad
son raros, y pueden existir solamente cuando los ciudadanos libres manera
concertada defiendan sus derechos contra todos los enemigos;
Que son las fuerzas del comunismo internacional, en la actualidad, la mayor
amenaza individual a estas libertades;
Que Estados Unidos debería buscar la
victoria, en lugar de la convivencia con esta amenaza;
Y que la política exterior estadounidense debe ser juzgada por este
criterio: ¿Sirve esta política sólo a los intereses de los Estados Unidos?

In this time of
moral and political crises, it is the responsibility of the youth of America to
affirm certain eternal truths.
We, as young
conservatives, believe:
That foremost
among the transcendent values is the individual’s use of his God-given free
will, whence derives his right to be free from the restrictions of arbitrary
force;
That liberty is
indivisible, and that political freedom cannot long exist without economic
freedom;
That the purpose
of government is to protect those freedoms through the preservation of internal
order, the provision of national defense, and the administration of justice;
That when
government ventures beyond these rightful functions, it accumulates power,
which tends to diminish order and liberty;
That the
Constitution of the United States is the best arrangement yet devised for
empowering government to fulfill its proper role, while restraining it from the
concentration and abuse of power;
That the genius of
the Constitution—the division of powers—is summed up in the clause that
reserves primacy to the several states, or to the people, in those spheres not
specifically delegated to the Federal government;
That the market
economy, allocating resources by the free play of supply and demand, is the
single economic system compatible with the requirements of personal freedom and
constitutional government, and that it is at the same time the most productive
supplier of human needs;
That when
government interferes with the work of the market economy, it tends to reduce
the moral and physical strength of the nation; that when it takes from one man
to bestow on another, it diminishes the incentive of the first, the integrity

that history shows periods of freedom are rare, and can exist only when free

AMENPER: Irán, Incendiario y Bombero
Quién es malo y quien es el peor, esa
es la Cuestión
Creo que el discurso de Benjamín Netanyahu, fue escuchado por muchos, pero
cada uno oyó lo que quiso oír, pocos oyeron la lección sobre el Medio Oriente
que el primer ministro de Israel nos quiso dar.
Lo que dijo claramente es que tenemos que tener cuidado que por querer
eliminar a uno malo nos quedemos con uno peor, y que el peor y más poderoso es
Irán, que no podemos hacer alianzas con Irán, que Irán no cumple con sus
compromisos y que su objetivo final es destruir a Israel y los Estados Unidos.
Para poder comprender lo que está pasando como en todo drama hay que
conocer los personajes.
Está el ISIS, que tiene tanto poder porque esta es una guerra Islámica,
aunque nuestro querido presidente no quiera ni siquiera mencionar su
nombre.
ISIS es Suni, y esta fracción del Islam es la compartida con el 80% de los
creyentes del Islam.
En nombre de la diversidad, el presidente de Iraq es Chiita, y esto creó
resentimiento entre los sunis, ayudando a ISIS. Chiita, son los gobiernos de Siria y de Irán.
Arabia Saudita los emiratos Árabes, Jordania ect. tienen mayoría Suni.
Pero Irán aunque es una minoría dentro del Islam, es también es muy
Yihadista y fanática de su versión del Islam, y sobre todo tiene un gran
poderío militar como todos saben casi llegando a ser un poder nuclear.
Irán está sustituyendo su minoría con su poder, infiltrándose en el campo
de batalla de Iraq, con la complacencia de Obama que realmente parece ser que
le pidió ayuda para destruir a ISIS.
Por eso Netanyahu advirtió que ganarle la batalla a ISIS para darle el
territorio a Irán era ganar una batalla y perder la guerra. Una victoria Pírrica (si no saben lo que es una victoria Pírrica pulsen el

Qasem Soleimani, jefe de las tropas de élite de Irán conocidas como la
fuerza Quds, fue uno de los operadores más discretos públicamente..
Ahora, su rostro sonriente está en todas partes: de-brazo con funcionarios
iraquíes en la tele, codeándose con los milicianos que lucha contra el estado
islámico a través de los medios sociales y en reuniones públicas con familias
iraquíes liberadas por los aliados de Irán.
Soleimani apareció esta semana en Samarra, Irak, para reforzar la moral de
milicianos y tropas iraquíes embarcarse en una lucha para liberar a la ciudad
cercana de Tikrit, ahora controlado por el estado islámico, también conocida
como ISIS.
El aalto perfil del Sr. Soleimani subraya
la transformación de Irán de la manera que está tomando poder en la región. La
República Islámica de Irán, que no se pudo exportar su revolución de 1979,
ahora reclama un arco de influencia que se extiende desde el Mediterráneo hasta
el mar rojo y Golfo de Adén, decir aliados y enemigos por igual.
"Irán es más poderoso que cualquier momento en los últimos 30
años", Ha aprovechado el surgimiento del estado islámico y ha cambiado esa
postura convenciendo a incautos y cómplices que tienen que aliarse con ellos
para derrotar a ISIS.
Asesores militares iraníes dirigen abiertamente las milicias en el
extranjero. En Irak, los iraníes coordinarán tanto como 100.000 combatientes
iraquíes movilizados por clérigos iraquíes aliadas iraní con una orden
religiosa para enfrentar el estado islámico. En Yemen, un movimiento chiíta de
estilo sobre Hezbolá, un grupo Irán nació en el Líbano en la década de 1980
para hacer frente a Israel, derrocó al presidente yemení y el gobierno con la
ayuda de Irán provistos de armas y dinero.
En Siria, asesores militares iraníes ayuda a defender presidente Bashar
al-Assad mediante la coordinación de una mezcla de los grupos paramilitares que
son combatientes de Hezbolá desde el Líbano, las milicias chiíes de Irak y los
combatientes de Afganistán, dicen rebeldes y combatientes aliados régimen.

encabezado por chiítas debilitado de Irak en su lucha contra el estado
islámico..
Lo que quiso decir Netanyahu es que Irán es el incendiario y a la vez el
bombero.
Pero Obama lo está considerando sólamente como el bombero, para que apague
el fuego del ISIS, y lo que venga atrás no me importa, mi legado será que acabé
con ISIS.
Dada esta expansión en que se ha posicionado Irán, es fácil de ver cómo se
pueden aprovechar de los arreglos de este trato que Kerry y Obama se preparan
para darle.
Es algo grandioso que por la estupidez de esta administración,
el peor enemigo que se vislumbra para la humanidad va a recibir de su futura
víctima un alivio de sanciones y el prestigio con la recompensa de armas
nucleares en el futuro legalmente y en el presente porque saben que pueden
hacer lo que les venga en ganas sin problemas.
Irán ha jugado brillantemente. No sólo tienen genios como Suleimani, pero
tienen una alta tolerancia al riesgo y reprimen cualquier disidencia posible.
Hemos subestimado e ignorado Irán por décadas. Y ahora en una encrucijada
crucial Estados Unidos dará Irán todo lo posiblemente podría soñar con en su
afán de dominar la región y el mundo.
Esto es lo que quiso decir Benjamín Netanyahu,
¿Cuantos lo entendieron? Unos pocos y parte de los que le entendieron no les
conviene oírlo. Como diría
el Papa en su oración diaria, " Habemus multum judidos "

The anonymous hacker used a tool called “The Harvester” to scour the Internet for other email addresses under the clintonemail.com domain registered by Clinton. At least nine other email addresses have been discovered by the hacker, including some that are strikingly similar to the one avowed Hillary email, hdr22@clintonemail.com.

Meanwhile, Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy claims that the select committee investigating Benghazi has already discovered the fact that Clinton was using more than one email account.
AMENPER: LA DECLARACIÓN DE ARIEL SHARON.
Creo que
soy conservador por naturaleza, y por razonamiento desde que tengo uso de
razón.
Pero mi
conservadurismo ha ido evolucionando con el tiempo confirmándose a través de mi
vida intelectualmente, y por la experiencia cuando vivía en Cuba por mi
experiencia cuando estudiaba y he vivido en los Estados
Unidos antes y después de Castro.
Pero hay
algo que me sucedió en los años 60s cuando estaba decidiendo si esperaba un
poco o decidía traer a mi familia. La radio en inglés se oía en mi
pueblo en la parte más cerca a Estados Unidos de Cuba. Oía la radio
y sobre todo a William F. Buckley cuyo programa conocía de cuando estudiaba.
Hoy
en el Wall Street Journal me recordaron la “Declaración de Sharon”. Fue cuando
oí en el programa de Buckley en la radio desde Cuba, esta declaración
que me convencí que los Estados Unidos era el país donde tenía que
dar la oportunidad de estudiar y crecer a mis hijos, fue la etapa final de mi
persuasión conservadora.
Fue la razón
de mi decisión, en el año 60, unas semanas después de la Declaración de
Sharon, viajé a los Estados Unidos para preparar mi estancia con mi
familia, y volvía a Cuba. Dos años después en 1962, nos trasladamos
en una decisión de la cual no me he arrepentido un día de mi vida, una decisión
de la que me siento orgulloso cuando veo a mis hijos y
nietos.
Esta es
la Declaración de Sharon:
"Que la libertad es

En eso creía en eso creo, por eso vine con mi familia
para que mis hijos crecieran con esta creencias.
Por eso me ven como me duele cuando veo a estas
creencias siendo denigradas cuando veo a este país con gobernantes empecinados
a destruir estos valores.
AMENPER: ¿Qué
importancia tiene todo esto? ¡Yo soy Hillary Clinton!
Uno tiene que preguntarse exactamente cuántos embustes tomarán
para que las personas puedan tomar conciencia de que Hillary Clinton podría
tener algo de un pequeño defecto – como es ser una mentirosa
patológica – que se reflejará negativamente en su aptitud para ser Presidente y
comandante en jefe.
El testimonio [Bengasi] esta semana podría ser devastador para la
administración de Obama y a Hillary Clinton, quien dirigía el Departamento de
estado en el momento del hecho.
El Comité especial investigar los ataques terroristas de 2012 en Bengasi,
Libia, pidió que los correos electrónicos personales de ex secretaria de Estado
Hillary Rodham Clinton sean preservados como parte de investigación de la
Comisión.
Pero esos E Mails provienen de un servidor privado, así que ella podría
estar escondiendo algo todavía más incriminaste.

han mentido al pueblo estadounidense durante años. No importa, siempre
salen a flote.
Ahora el Departamento de estado ha sido obligado a presentar correos
electrónicos a través de una demanda de Judicial Watch. Los correos
electrónicos fueron hechos públicos el jueves por el grupo de Washington,
D.C.,
Estos correos mostrarían que la entonces secretaria de Estado Hillary
Clinton sabía mientras el ataque estaba ocurriendo el 11 de
septiembre de 2012, en el complejo de Estados Unidos en Bengasi
se estaba llevando a cabo por terroristas.
Clinton culpó del atentado como un caso de "rabia y
violencia por un video horrible en el Internet" Ella repitió esto cuando
ella habló en una ceremonia en la Base aérea Andrews en 14 de septiembre de
2014, cuando los restos de los cuatro norteamericanos, incluyendo el del
Embajador Christopher Stevens, fueron devueltos a los Estados Unidos.

desafortunado: cuando se trata de Hillary Clinton hay una enorme diferencia
entre "podría ser" y "será".
Hillary ha estado mintiendo al pueblo estadounidense desde su primera
aparición importante de la TV en enero de 1992 en "60 minutos" de
CBS. En aquel momento, ella y Bill bregaban por salvar su candidatura a raíz de
las revelaciones de Gennifer Flower, una amante que hizo declaraciones sobre su
vida amorosa con Bill.
Cuando Steve Kroft preguntó Bill si tuvo un romance con flores, ella
respondió: "esa acusación es falsa”. Hillary, dijo con sus
manos entrelazadas amorosamente con Bill.
Por supuesto, ambos mentían, algo que hacen con mucha destreza.
El senador demócrata Bob Kerrey haría inmortalizar más tarde a los Clintons
como "unos mentirosos inusualmente buenos.

Algunas de las mentiras son menores, sólo un rasgo de su trastorno
patológico, otros están abordando implicaciones penales.

septiembre de 2001. (Estuvo en la cama viendo en la televisión).
•Hillary Clinton tergiversado su registro de oponerse a la guerra de Irak
•Hillary Clinton tergiversado su papel en el acuerdo de paz irlandés
• Hillary Clinton mintió sobre apoyar TLC
• Hillary Clinton mintió sobre su papel en la aprobación
de la familia y Medical Leave Act
•Hillary Clinton mintió acerca de su viaje a África
•Hillary Clinton mintió sobre la mujer sin "seguro"
que murió después del parto
•Hillary Clinton mintió como un miembro del personal de la Comité Judicial
• Hillary dijo que fue nombrada por su padre por Sir Edmund
Hillary. (Admitió que se equivocó. Edmund Hillary escaló el Monte Everest cinco
años después de su nacimiento.)
• Estaba bajo fuego de francotiradores en Bosnia. (Una muchacha le presentó
con flores al pie de la rampa).
• Ella aprendió en The Wall Street Journal como cometer una
violación en el mercado de futuros. (WSJ no cubría el mercado entonces.)
Estas son mentiras que ella no ha aceptado:
• No sabía acerca de los indultos FALN
• No sabía que a sus hermanos le habían pagados para que Clinton concediera
indultos.
• Tomar los regalos de la casa blanca, dijo que fue un error
administrativo.

Coral Gables, vecinos alarmados con el aumento

de Coral Gables renuncio a su puesto debido a presión de el aumento del crimen,
creíamos que el nuevo jefe traería una nueva estrategia que le diera duro a los
delincuentes y por lo menos bajaran los índices de criminalidad en la llamada
“Ciudad Bella”, pero no ha sido así.
Varios vecinos de las
calles Loretto y Pizarro, nos escriben denunciando la ola de robos que al
menos en esas dos céntricas calles han ocurrido en los últimos días.
“Solo en Pizarro han ocurrido 8 robos en las
últimas dos semanas”, nos dice Charles Hernández en un correo que nos envía.
Por su parte Delia,
otra residente de la calle Loretto nos dice, “en mi casa entraron la semana
pasada, después otras 6 residencias fueron visitadas por los ladrones”.
En todos los casos la
policía se personó, pero no han realizado arrestos que lleve tranquilidad a
estos vecinos de Coral Gables.
Los robos continúan,
mientras que el alcalde Jim Cason sigue diciendo que los robos y otros crímenes
han bajado, aparentemente esta no es la realidad, nos dicen algunos vecinos en
sus correos electrónicos.
Según las estadísticas
del pasado año, más de 2,000 robos en casa ocurrieron solamente en Coral
Gables.
Y mientras los
ladrones campean por su respeto, “la policía sitúa a sus agentes en la céntrica

Hillary
Clinton State Department Aides Both Used Private Emails
It
wasn’t just Hillary
Clinton who used a private email account while she was Secretary of State.
Gawker reports,
“Source: Top Clinton Aides Used Secret Email Accounts at State Dept.”
[A]ccording
to a knowledgeable source, at least two other top Clinton aides also used
private email accounts to conduct government business—placing their official
communications outside the scope of federal record-keeping regulations.
This would mean that email between them would
be especially lacking any record, thus breaking the law.
The two aides who the source names were
Philippe Reines and Huma Abedin—the wife of Anthony Weiner and a longtime aide
to Hillary Clinton. But the source seemed to think that other staffers had used
private emails as well.
We
were able to independently verify that Abedin used a ClintonEmail.com address
at some point in time. There are several email addresses associated with
Abedin’s name in records maintained by Lexis-Nexis; one of them is huma@clintonemail.com. An
email sent to that address today went through without bouncing.
In
an email to Gawker, Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill denied that Reines was ever
given, or ever used, a ClintonEmail.com address. “He has never had one, not for
communicating with anyone about anything,” he wrote. Merrill did not
respond, however, to questions about whether Reines used a private account at a
different provider, such as Yahoo! or Gmail, to conduct official agency
business. He also refused to address multiple questions regarding how Abedin
used her ClintonEmail.com address.
How important is this?
Gawker
had filed a FOIA request with the State Department in 2012, seeking some of
Reines’ correspondence with a journalist. That FOIA request was denied by the
State Department on the grounds that they possessed no emails of Reines’ sent to that
journalist. Well,
no. When you allow a State Department staffer to use a private email in order
to conduct State Department business, then you can correctly claim that you
don’t have the emails. But the point is: You are supposed to have them!
Again, we see a bold-faced attack on open
government by Liberals and a clear signal that they believe they are beyond
accountability. This is as bad as the IRS making up transparent lies about
broken hard drives to refuse information to Congress.

Committee Led By Trey Gowdy Issues Subpoenas For Hillary Clinton’s
Communications
“Mrs.
Clinton did not..."
The
Select Committee on Benghazi, chaired by Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., issued
subpoenas for “all communications” from former Secretary of State Hillary
Clinton pertaining to Libya and the department she once led. They also extend
to anyone who might have information “pertinent” to the committee’s
investigation.
Benghazi
Committee communications director Jamal Ware issued the following press release
Wednesday evening:
“The
Select Committee on Benghazi today issued subpoenas for all communications of
former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton related to Libya and to the State
Department for other individuals who have information pertinent to the
investigation.
“The
Committee also has issued preservation letters to internet firms information
them of their legal obligation to protect all relevant documents,” Ware added.
This news comes after it was revealed that Clinton used personal email
addresses while she was running the State Department.
“Mrs.
Clinton did not have a government email address during her four-year tenure at
the State Department,” Gowdy said. “Her aides took no actions to have her
personal emails preserved on department servers at the time, as required by the
Federal Records Act.”
Prior
to the announcement of the subpoenas, Ware issued a statement Wednesday regarding Clinton’s emails.
“The Select Committee on Benghazi is in possession of records with two separate
and distinct email addresses used by former Secretary Clinton and dated during
the time she was Secretary of State,” Ware said. His statement continued:
As
Chairman Gowdy has noted, this is why former Secretary Clinton’s exclusive use
of personal emails to conduct official U.S. government business is so
problematic and raises significant issues for transparency. The American people
have a right to a full accounting of all the former Secretary’s emails, and the
Committee is committed to working to uncover all the facts.

Saudi Columnist Declares Obama ‘One of the Worst American
Presidents’ Over Iran Deal

One of the side effects of the Obama administration-led efforts to
forge a negotiated deal over Iran’s nuclear program is that it has aligned
traditional foes Israel and Saudi Arabia in both vociferously opposing what
they consider a bad deal that will threaten each country’s security.
Secretary of State John Kerry was in Saudi Arabia
Thursday to try to allay those fears one day after concluding another round of
talks with Iranian nuclear negotiators in Switzerland.
The concern is so acute among that Saudis that, in
a stunning display earlier this week, a Saudi columnist penned an article
offering his full support to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s
address to Congress this week “despite the Obama administration’s anger and
fury.”
Columnist Ahmad Al-Faraj Monday wrote in the pro-government Saudi daily Al-Jazirah, “I
believe that Netanyahu’s conduct will serve our interests, the people of the
Gulf, much more than the foolish behavior of one of the worst American
presidents.”

In his column, translated by the Middle East Media
Research Institute, Al-Faraj accused Obama of being an “ally of political
Islam” and aspiring to a deal with Iran for his own “personal glory.” In so
doing, Obama is acting “at the expense of the U.S.’s longtime allies in the
Gulf,” the columnist asserted.
In Riyadh on Thursday, Kerry met with the
foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman,
Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, all of which are nervous
about neighboring Iran’s suspected efforts at obtaining a nuclear weapon.
The Associated Press quoted unnamed U.S. officials who said Kerry would reassure them that the emerging deal will not allow
Iran to develop a nuclear weapon.
Kerry was expected to say that aside from the
nuclear negotiations, the U.S. would oppose “Iranian expansion” and
“aggressiveness” in the Middle East. Iran backs Syrian President Bashar Assad,
the Hezbollah forces that are fighting to defend his rule, as well as Shiite
rebels in Yemen.
After Netanyahu’s speech, Kerry said the aim of negotiations was to “get the right deal, one that can
withstand scrutiny.”

nombre al régimen que desde hace 16 años padecemos los venezolanos, el que
compete a toda forma totalitaria. ¿Por qué muchos que se llaman opositores y se
presentan como demócratas siguen calificando de democracia a este espanto de
opresión, humillación y abuso que unos vándalos impusieron luego de ganar unas
elecciones (1998) francamente diáfanas y respetuosas de leyes y voluntad
popular, y de inmediato se abocaron a destruir el Estado y sus instituciones
para de esa manera no volver a permitir procesos electorales justos? ¿Por qué
aceptar ese absurdo de “democracia de origen”?
A 16 años de
aquella época de verdadera democracia y el mismo tiempo de arribo al poder de
una indiscutible banda despótica y absolutista, ya basta del cuentito de
que “Venezuela es una democracia porque a Chávez lo eligió el pueblo”,
obviando así fraudes, abuso de poder, intimidación y persecución al liderazgo
opositor. Con seguridad hace 16 años a Chávez lo eligió una parte del pueblo
venezolano, –y ¡ojo!, no arrasó, ganó con el 56% de 6.988.291 de votos, en una
población electoral de 11.013.020 donde la abstención fue del 36,55 % y el
candidato opositor, Henrique Salas Römer, obtuvo el 39,97% de los electores que
con seguridad no sufragaron para instaurar una neotiranía donde la alternancia
es un imposible y la oposición política literalmente hablando: un enemigo a
destruir.

Venezuela no puede para nadie ser considerada una democracia cuando la
disidencia se persigue, se encarcela, se sataniza, se inhabilita políticamente;
menos cuando el poder electoral es controlado por miembros del partido de
Gobierno que a su antojo violan leyes, ordenanzas y la voluntad del electorado.
Antes del triunfo
de Hugo Chávez en 1998, Venezuela era una democracia. A su llegada al poder y
en los primeros años de su mandato, también, pero todo se enmarañó cuando se
cambió la Constitución, se terminó con la autonomía de los poderes del Estado y
se instauró un absolutismo que convirtió al militar golpista en una especie de
dueño inamovible, caprichoso y abusivo. Desde allí Venezuela debe ser
catalogada como una dictadura.
Sólo los que no
desean ver la realidad pueden considerar este espanto una democracia. En 16
años han borrado toda posibilidad de alternancia. Esa Venezuela a la que
encasquetaron el mote de República Bolivariana padece desde hace lustros un
sistema autoritario y cada día es más dramático el deterioro del papel de la
oposición en la lucha política.
Una tiranía donde
un belicoso tenientico es el dueño del poder legislativo y a su antojo bota
diputados y silencia a otros. Un tenientico engolosinado con un poder que le ha
hecho inmensamente rico y supremamente fuerte, tanto que ha anulado todos los
mecanismos de control del ejecutivo y convertido a la bancada opositora en
convidados de piedra temerosos del acoso del terrorismo de Estado.
Una tiranía donde
otro militar decide imponer la resolución 008610, que autoriza a los diferentes
cuerpos de seguridad a utilizar armas letales para “controlar” las
manifestaciones en el país, y no conforme, ese ministro de defensa
general Vladimir Padrino López tilda de documento “hermosísimo” esa medida
criminal que ya ha cobrado vidas de niños y jóvenes en una Venezuela hedionda a
muerte.
Y claro, también
ese grandulón ignorantísimo, abusadorísimo e incierto hasta como venezolano, ha
dicho la semana pasada celebrando los saqueos que ellos mismos organizaron
aquel llamado “Caracazo” (1989) que -y lo cito textual- “la oligarquía no
volverá ni por las buenas, ni por las malas”… desconociendo que ese
término con el que intenta satanizar a la oposición, le calza a ellos a la
perfección porque esa banda colorada por 16 años ha concentrado
todo el poder en sus manos, ha destartalado el Estado e implantado una tiranía
comunista, hambreadora y asesina. Banda de asaltantes que hoy sí que son
oligarcas o “boligarcas”. Nicolás Maduro, negado a mostrar la partida de
nacimiento que probaría su nacionalidad. Nicolás Maduro matando estudiantes,
encarcelando políticos opositores; Maduro el rey de las colas que humillan al
ciudadano, Maduro el insolente que afirma que “de ninguna forma, la oposición
podrá asumir el poder”, nos deja muy claro que no es otra cosa que un déspota
bananero impuesto por los sátrapas cubanos en una Venezuela que padece una
tiranía.

The Iran Nuclear Threat

I am a
professional economist, not a military strategist or historian. Nonetheless, I
think I can offer some perspective on typical arguments for U.S. government
military action. Consider the following excerpt from a NYT article by Chris Hedges, titled, “Iran May Be Able to Build an Atomic Bomb in 5 Years, U.S. and Israeli
Officials Fear” (HT2 Julie Borowski):
Iran is much closer to
producing nuclear weapons than previously thought, and could be less than five
years away from having an atomic bomb, several senior American and Israeli
officials say.
“The
date by which Iran will have nuclear weapons is no longer 10 years from now,” a
senior official said recently, referring to previous estimates. “If the
Iranians maintain this intensive effort to get everything they need, they could
have all their components in two years. Then it will be just a matter of
technology and research. If Iran is not interrupted in this program by some
foreign power, it will have the device in more or less five years.”
The reassessment of Iran’s
nuclear potential is now described by Israeli officials as the most serious
threat facing their country.

“When we look at the future and ask ourselves what is the biggest problem we will face in the next decade,” a senior Israeli military official said, “Iran’s nuclear bomb is at the top of the list.”
…
And if Iranian oratory is to be believed, the Islamic Government would support a showdown with the Jewish state, whose very existence, it says, is an affront to the Muslim countries in the Middle East.

the lack of accountability in the quotations from anonymous American and
Israeli officials. After all, considering recent history it’s not as if our
default position should be to trust their warnings when it comes to
weapons programs in Middle Eastern countries.

for proposing needed amendments to the Constitution.
Citizens for Self-Governance has launched the Convention of States
Project to call an Article V convention to propose only amendments that would
impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and
jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

One in four
Americans want their state to secede from the U.S., but why?

For the past few weeks, as Scotland
debated the wisdom of independence, Reuters has been asking Americans how they
would feel about declaring independence today, not from the United
Kingdom, but from the mother country they left England to create. The
exact wording of the question was, “Do you support or oppose the idea of your
state peacefully withdrawing from the United States of America and the federal
government?”
It was hard to imagine many people would
support secession. Forget the fact that the cautionary lesson of the Civil War
is top of mind for many people as we commemorate its 150th anniversary;
just in terms of dollars and cents, who in their right minds would give up all
the money they’ve already paid into the Social Security and Medicare systems?
Besides, most states get more back from the federal government than they put
in.
Then the results came in. You can see
them for yourself here, and you can filter them any way you
want—by age, region, income, party affiliation, etc. Any way you slice it, the
data are startlingly clear: Almost a quarter (23.9 percent) of those
surveyed said they were strongly or provisionally inclined to leave the United
States, and take their states with them. Given the polling
sample — about 9,000 people so far—the online survey’s credibility
interval (which is digital for “margin of error”) was only 1.2 percentage
points, so there is no question that that is what they said.Secession got more
support from Republicans than Democrats, more from right- than left-leaning
independents, more from younger than older people, more from lower- than
higher-income brackets, more from high school than college grads. But there was
a surprising amount of support in every group and region, especially the Rocky
Mountain states, the Southwest and the old Confederacy, but also in places like
Illinois and Kansas. And of the people who said they identified with the Tea Party,
supporters of secession were actually in the majority, with 53 percent.
The question is, what do results like this
mean for the country?
First, it should be acknowledged that
intramural conflict has been in character for Americans since the earliest settlements,
when Puritan New England faced off against Royalist Virginia in the English
Civil War. More than a century later, the Revolutionary War was barely won when
the states, never quite friendly, were at each other’s throats, and the infant
nation came close to being strangled in its crib.
It was in part to avoid the danger that
the colonies would break into competing regional confederacies that the
founders plotted to hold the Constitutional Convention of 1787. But even when
the new Constitution made secession illegal, the impulse to break up stayed
strong. Serious state and regional threats of secession flared up in 1799, 1814
and 1828. Fifteen years before 11 Southern states did secede in 1860, sparking
the Civil War, William Lloyd Garrison called for the North to secede under the
banner of “No Union With Slaveholders.”
All told, secessionist feints and follies
have produced notional movements for more than a hundred new states and nations
in North America, from Absaroka to Yazoo. A book about such causes, Lost
States, manages to be quite amusing.
Followup phone calls with a small, random
sample of pro-secession respondents to the Reuters poll, however, suggest that
while their wish to leave the union may not be quite what it appears, it is not
amusing at all.
Those we spoke to seemed to have answered
as they did as a form of protest that was neither red nor blue but a
polychromatic riot — against a recovery that has yet to produce jobs, against
jobs that don’t pay, against mistreatment of veterans, against war, against
deficits, against hyper-partisanship, against political corruption, against
illegal immigration, against the assault on marriage, against the assault on
same-sex marriage, against government in the bedroom, against government in
general — the president, Congress, the courts and both political parties.
By the evidence of the poll data as well
as these anecdotal conversations, the sense of aggrievement is comprehensive,
bipartisan, somewhat incoherent, but deeply felt.
This should be more than disconcerting;
it’s a situation that could get dangerous. As the Princeton political
scientist Mark
Beissinger has shown, separatist movements can take hold
around contempt for incumbents and the status quo even when protesters have no
ideology in common.
The United States hardly seems to be on
the verge of fracture, and the small secession movements in a handful of
American states today represent a tiny percentage of those polled by Reuters.
But any country where 60 million people declare themselves to be sincerely
aggrieved — especially one that is fractious by nature — is a country inviting
either the sophistry of a demagogue or a serious movement for reform.

Obama Counsel Not Aware of Clinton's Secret Email System
The White House counsel's office was
not aware at the time Hillary Clinton was secretary of state that she relied
solely on personal email and only found out as part of the congressional
investigation into the Benghazi attack, according to a person familiar with the
matter.
The person said Clinton's exclusive
reliance on personal email as the nation's top diplomat was inconsistent with
the guidance given to agencies that official business should be conducted on
official email accounts. Once the State Department turned over some of her
messages in connection with the Benghazi investigation after she left office,
making it apparent she had not followed the guidance, the White House counsel's
office asked the department to ensure that her email records were properly
archived, according to the person who spoke on a condition of anonymity without
authorization to speak on the record.
Clinton announced in a late-night
tweet Wednesday that she wants her emails released. She asked the State Department
to vet the 55,000-plus pages she handed over, leaving the diplomatic agency
with the intensely politicized task of determining which can be made public.
Clinton's successor, Secretary of
State John Kerry, told reporters Thursday during a trip to Saudi Arabia the
State Department will move immediately to review the emails but cautioned it
will take time. "We will undertake this task as rapidly as possible in
order to make sure that we are dealing with the sheer volume in a responsible
way," Kerry said.
The email saga has developed as the
first major test for how President Barack Obama's administration will deal with
Clinton's likely 2016 presidential campaign — and the inevitable questions that
will only get louder as 2016 approaches.
Clinton's reliance on personal email
alone was exposed through an investigation by the Republican-led Select
Committee on Benghazi.
Committee spokesman Jamal Ware said
Thursday that committee staff reviewing email turned over by the State
Department noticed in late summer that Clinton was included on messages at the
address hdr22@clintonemail.com. The committee asked the State Department in
late fall for additional emails that Clinton would have sent relating to Libya,
and in response the department produced more than 800 pages in February — but
still none from a government email address.
Ware said it wasn't until last
Friday that the State Department acknowledged that Clinton only used personal
email while in office. The committee, chaired by Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C.,
announced Wednesday that it has issued a subpoena to Clinton directly for all
of her communications relating to Libya, including emails from her personal
server, texts, attachments and pictures.
Since the revelations surfaced this
week, the Obama administration has been pummeled by endless questions about
Clinton, who hasn't formally announced a run. In the absence of an official
campaign to defend her, the White House press secretary has been put in the
awkward position of being a de facto Clinton spokesman and the most public
voice speaking on her behalf.
While trying to avoid doing
political damage to Clinton, the White House has put the onus on her aides to
explain exactly what happened.

Earnest acknowledged Wednesday that Clinton would have emailed White House
officials on a non-government account. But the person familiar with the matter
said the White House was not aware that was her sole method of email and that
she wasn't keeping a record of her emails at the State Department.
The person said the White House's
concern was that agencies much maintain records for historical and legal
purposes in the case of a Freedom of Information Act request or subpoena. If
the State Department didn't control the records, officials there could not
search and ensure they are turning over what is required and that could create
a legal issue for the agency.
The Associated Press has reported
that Clinton's account was set up on a computer email server traced to her home
in Chappaqua, New York.
Earnest said the guidance given to
government officials is that they should forward work emails on a personal
address to official accounts or even print them out and turn them over to their
agency to ensure they are properly maintained.
"If in fact Secretary Clinton's
team did what they say they did — and that is reviewed her email, collected all
of her personal email that was related to her official government work and turn
that over to the State Department so that they could properly preserve and
maintain it — that would be consistent with the Federal Records Act, and that's
the president's expectation," White House spokesman Josh Earnest said
Wednesday.
Top White House aides have been in
contact with Clinton's team to clarify specific facts that the White House is
likely to be asked about. The White House also reached out to Clinton's team
ahead of Tuesday's press briefing to advise them of what the White House
planned to say, according to a senior White House official, who requested
anonymity to discuss private conversations.
"It's almost impossible for the
White House to give firm answers because there's just too much you don't
know," said Ari Fleischer, President George W. Bush's former press
secretary. "It's an extraordinarily delicate dance they have to do to not
throw someone overboard, but not get anyone in the White House in deeper
trouble."

Obama Tracking Muslims For Military And Pentagon Positions, To Replace
Patriotic American Commanders.
Obama is seeking to attract more Muslims to join the Military and
Pentagon – the former officially having 4500 Muslims currently. The number of
Muslims in the Pentagon hasn’t been released.
“Our nation and our entire military family remain stronger because of
the service and sacrifice of people of all faiths, including the thousands of
patriotic Muslim Americans who have served and still serve in this long period
of war,” Deputy Defense Secretary Robert Work stated earlier last year.
But getting more Muslims to join isn’t the only objective, hiring them
into upper level positions that were cleared out as part of Obama’s ‘litmus
test’ is also on the agenda.
Across the board, Obama has been placing Muslim Brotherhood members in
key positions within the government, as detailed by 3-star general William Boykin.
In the military specifically, Obama has not only been hiring Muslim Brotherhood members as chaplains, but has been
firing many of our higher and middle level commanders, such as the 1,100 captains and 500 majorstowards the
end of 2014, in order to replace them with his Muslim brethren.
It’s already well-known that Obama has fired 200 of the military’s
top commanders for very
flimsy reasons over the past few years. The main objective being to get
rid of those who won’t act against
the American people. This ‘litmus test’ as identified by Pentagon officials, ex-CIA, ex-military, etc, is
quite simply “Would you fire on the American people.”
Furthermore, Obama is firing 30,000 soldiers while hiring illegals directly into our military. While this is
currently limited in number, you can bet that when it gets close to hitting the
fan he will step up the pace. Obama will need to surround himself with his own
loyal SS.
As the Washington Times reported last year, Obama has
plans to use the military against U.S. citizens.
While many would still balk at this idea, one only has to look at his
actions to see that he is indeed creating a military made up of those
who would have no problem shooting Americans.
The U.S. military currently has 4,500 uniformed Muslims, the Pentagon
said on July 3. It was not clear how the Pentagon identified the Muslims. The
department has not given statistics on members of other religious faiths.
In 2009, a U.S. Army Maj. Nidal Hasan, shouting “God is great,” opened
fire and killed 13 of his colleagues. Later, authorities acknowledged
that Hasan, a psychiatrist, was linked to Al Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula.
Critics have accused the administration of promoting Islam as the
preferential faith in the United States. Over the last year, a senior adviser
to the Homeland Security Department, Mohamed Elibiary, issued a statement
that said the U.S. Constitution was “Islamically compliant” and that a
Muslim caliphate was “inevitable.”
“I said America was an Islamic country not a Muslim country,”
Elibiary said in a Twitter post on June 30.
On July 3, Work attended the annual Pentagon ceremony of Iftar, or the
evening dinner after a day-long fast that continues throughout the Muslim month
of Ramadan. The Pentagon has been conducting the ceremony since 1998 in
commemoration of Islam.
“Tonight is an opportunity for people of different faiths to come
together in the spirit of respect and tolerance to share the richness of
our beliefs and to enjoy the traditions of hospitality that are such
an important part of the Muslim community,” Work said.
The Pentagon, which hired Saudi-sponsored groups to raise awareness, has
reported the employment of 1,000 Muslims. Officials said they included
civilians and contractors for the Defense Department.
In his address, Work quoted Obama as saying that Ramadan reminded
Americans of the principles of peace, justice and equality. The deputy
secretary also urged those at the Iftar to remember their responsibility to the
defense of the United States.
